The University of Phoenix (UOPX) is a private, mostly online university, founded in 1976 with the intention of providing options for adult learners who wanted to further their education but couldn’t give up their jobs to do so. UoPX offers certificates and degrees at associate, bachelors, masters and doctoral levels. It has an open enrollment policy and accepts all applicants with a highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent.
