Twins Alan and Alex Stokes were charged with a felony

According to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, they were charged with false imprisonment and "swatting" in August 2020. Per Deadline, "each [twin] has been charged with one felony count of false imprisonment effected by violence, menace, fraud or deceit, and one misdemeanor count of falsely reporting an emergency."

This stemmed from their October 2019 bank robbery pranks in which they called an Uber and showed up wearing ski masks and carrying bags full of money.

"The Uber driver refused to drive the brothers. A bystander witnessing the incident believed the men were attempting to carjack the Uber driver after robbing a bank and called police," Deadline reported. The brothers were given a warning but then did the same prank four hours later, which also resulted in a police response.

The Sway House member flashed himself in front of his own (many underaged) fans in late April 2020. According to J-14, Josh "seemingly tried to recreate a popular TikTok trend where users drop their phone and sit on it, showing their exposed backside" — but he showed way more than that.

Josh allegedly responded to the backlash with two now-deleted tweets, screenshotted by the IG account, @tiktokroom.

She also mentioned, "My step-siblings, like my step-mom is from Egypt and all that stuff, so I know that it could have been taken offensively. I just want to apologize for anyone who took it that way and was offended ... I'm sorry to anyone that practices that religion."

Many people weren't satisfied with her apology, so Nessa made another one on TikTok: "I love all people, whatever religion, race, shapes, and sizes. You can be upset that what I've done was ignorant, but you cannot be upset at me for being hateful, as there's no hate in me."

Bryce Hall and other TikTokers threw huge parties during the pandemic

In September 2020, Bryce and the Sway Boys threw a party at the Sway House for Bryce's 21st birthday. It seemed like the party was huge and lots of people weren't happy with Sway, considering L.A. is still a high-risk area when it comes to COVID-19. From videos, it seemed like the place was packed with people who were not wearing masks.

After being called out for the party, many TikTokers apologized for attending it. Bryce, however, seemed unbothered by the criticism. He posted a TikTok to Kesha's "Take It Off," focusing on the lyrics "I don't give a f*ck."

When fans thought Danielle Cohn's mom was both running her daughter's account and making her work

In 2020, there were many rumors Danielle's mother, Jen, was running the show from behind-the-scenes. But some people made accusations of something more sinister. A quick YouTube search results in multiple videos "exposing" evidence that Jen is forcing Danielle to work.

Danielle and Jen denied all of this, though, with Jen saying in a YouTube video that "doing social media" was Danielle's idea. Jen admitted she actually wants her daughter "out of it."

Danielle said in a YouTube video people were giving out her address and told others to call Child Protective Services.

In May 2020, Danielle went live to talk once again about the situation with her mom, telling people that all the rumors being spread about the way her mom treats her aren't true. "Why the heck would I live with my mom if she was treating me like that?" she asked.

If that wasn't bad enough, she later told Dr. Phil she was "really annoyed corona was getting more publicity than [her]."

Ava also told Dr. Phil, "I'll pull up and cough on you." Dr. Phil then said her attitude was "spoiled and ridiculous." Yikes.

When Chase Hudson allegedly cheated on Charli D'Amelio

The TikTok power couple eventually broke up in April 2020 after rumors emerged that Chase sent explicit pics to Nessa Barrett.

However, neither Chase nor Charli admitted the cheating rumors were the reason for the breakup when they announced on Instagram they were over. Both said they were still friends, despite all the drama the rumors caused.

They've proven to their fans they are still friends, posting cute TikToks together since the breakup (and after the drama of Chase later kissing Nessa had subsided). Charli even picked Chase up at the airport in November 2020, sparking rumors they were getting back together.
