Lamb of God - Into Oblivion: New Album & Tour Announced! (2026)

Get ready to brace yourselves, metalheads! Lamb of God, the titans of modern metal, are roaring back onto the scene with their highly anticipated new album, Into Oblivion, slated for release on March 13, 2026, via Epic Records. This marks their first full-length offering in a staggering four years!

This isn't just a new album; it's a statement. Into Oblivion promises to be both a reckoning and a release, showcasing Lamb of God's unwavering commitment to their craft. They're embracing their status as metal lifers, unburdened by trends or expectations. Think of it as a sonic journey through ten tracks, revisiting the groove-heavy essence that defined their rise while fearlessly expanding their sonic horizons. The result? An album that feels deliberate, confident, and utterly unrestrained.

The announcement arrives alongside the blistering title track, "Into Oblivion." The accompanying video, directed by Tom Flynn and Mike Watts, is a stark, psychologically charged visual experience. The song itself is as punishing as anything in their catalog, blending crushing riffs with lyrics that confront societal decay head-on.

Guitarist Mark Morton explains that the album is about creative freedom. "For me, the album is about having the space to breathe creatively and not feeling like we have to keep up with any trend or expectation," he says. "It feels nice to be untethered from any agenda beyond rallying around the notion of, 'Let's just make music that we think is cool,' which is really where it all started."

But here's where it gets controversial... Vocalist Randy Blythe is even more direct, stating that the album is about "the ongoing and rapid breakdown of the social contract, particularly here in America." He adds, "Things are acceptable now that would've horrified people just 20 years ago."

Before today's big announcement, Lamb of God gave us a taste of what's to come with two standalone singles. "Sepsis," their first new song since 2022, paid homage to the early-'90s Richmond underground scene that helped shape the band. Then came "Parasocial Christ," a lean, three-minute assault that channeled classic Lamb of God aggression.

Into Oblivion was produced and mixed by long-time collaborator Josh Wilbur. The recording process took place in locations deeply connected to the band's roots. Drums were tracked in Richmond, Virginia; guitars and bass were recorded at Morton's home studio; and Blythe laid down his vocals at the legendary Total Access Studio in Redondo Beach, California, a studio associated with seminal punk releases from Black Flag, Hüsker Dü, and Descendents.

And this is the part most people miss... Pre-orders for the album are available now, including limited-edition vinyl variants and signed copies. A surprise first pressing was quietly released on the band's website earlier this week and sold out almost immediately, proving just how eager fans are for Lamb of God's next chapter.

Lamb of God is also hitting the road in March for what promises to be the heaviest tour of 2026, with support from Kublai Khan TX, Fit For An Autopsy, and Sanguisugabogg. Check out the tour dates below:
