The weather outlook for Kenya this week promises a mix of sunny days and localized rainfall, according to the latest forecasts from the Kenya Meteorological Department. While most regions will enjoy sunny skies, some areas are in for a wetter week.
The Central Highlands, Western Kenya, the Rift Valley, and the South-eastern Lowlands are expected to experience rainfall, with some regions potentially seeing more significant precipitation. Daytime temperatures are projected to soar above 30°C in the Coast, North-eastern, and North-western Kenya, as well as parts of the South-eastern Lowlands, Rift Valley, and Western Kenya, making it a warm and potentially humid environment. Conversely, night-time temperatures may drop below 10°C in parts of the Central Highlands, North and Central Rift Valley, Western Kenya, and areas near Mount Kilimanjaro, creating a stark contrast between day and night.
Looking back at the previous week, November 17-23, 2025, saw some areas recording rainfall, although overall, the amounts were decreasing. The highest rainfall was recorded at Mruru Station in Taita Taveta, with 37.1 mm of rain on November 18. Mandera Station reported the highest maximum temperature of 37.3°C on the same day, while Nyahururu Station recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 5.4°C on November 22.
Despite the varying weather conditions, the Kenya Meteorological Department predicts that most parts of the country will remain sunny and dry during the week of November 25 to December 1, with isolated rainfall in specific regions. Residents in areas prone to high daytime temperatures and cooler nights are advised to take appropriate precautions to stay comfortable and safe.
