OBJECTIVEThe Project Manager has the opportunity to plan, oversee and lead projects from initiation through close while being accountable for the entire project scope, project team, resources, communication, and the success of the project. The position offers interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving projects simultaneously.
WORKING HOURS: Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, education equivalent to four years of college, or equivalent experience required
1-3 years of project management experience utilizing the five phases of the project life cycle required
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal direction
Excellent oral, written, listening and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated leadership and team motivational skills. Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects, multi-task and adapt quickly to changes
Ability to function in a team environment dedicated to excellent customer service
Experience with Microsoft Product Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel
Experience with Smartsheet a plus
Experience in Financial Services a plus
PMP Credential a plus
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Lead projects and teams through all phases of the project life cycle for small and large or complex implementations
Create and manage project scope, identify stakeholders, and work with management to acquire appropriate project team members
Lead teams through project planning by gathering requirements, defining and managing scope, establishing deliverables, acquiring resources, defining project success, and defining stakeholder expectations
Create and manage a project schedule within Smartsheet identifying and assigning tasks to project team members
Monitor and control all project aspects to ensure timeliness of product/service delivery
Manage changes to project scope by following a formal project change process
Partner with ERM Group to identify and mitigate project risks by participating in formal risk assessments
Ensure regular and timely updates are made within Smartsheet to accurately reflect project statuses, dates, and updates for organizational PMO reporting
Utilize Smartsheet’s Resource Management module to ensure resource allocation of project team members is accurate
Document notes from project status meetings, assign, communicate and follow up on action items to team members as appropriate
Assure vendor due diligence is completed, partner with vendors to determine accurate project timelines, and review contracts to ensure project requirements are met
Assess the health of a project and apply experience, knowledge and project management principles to turn around any-size troubled project
Communicate the project plan and project progress to ensure a common understanding to set expectations in accordance with the Project Plan, in order to continually align the stakeholders and team members
Close projects by ensuring a thorough post implementation process is established to ensure the results and outcomes of implemented solutions and functionality satisfy all requirements and expectations of end users
Maintain positive departmental relationships and support team building through management and understanding of employee needs and expectations
Employ active listening skills, taking time to understand the points being made within project meetings, asking questions when appropriate
Contribute to the growth and value of the Project Management Team, sharing ideas on ways to improve processes and gain efficiencies
Continue professional development through attendance at meetings, professional seminars and conferences
Handle other duties as assigned
