But here's where it gets controversial: while the Trojan Horse is a well-known part of Greek mythology, it's not a central plot point in Homer's Odyssey. So, why did Nolan choose to showcase this particular tale?
The clip begins with a conversation between Jon Bernthal's Menelaus, King of Sparta, and Tom Holland's Telemachus, son of Odysseus. Menelaus asks, "Did you hear the story of the horse?" Telemachus nods, and the audience is transported inside the giant wooden horse itself, where Matt Damon's Odysseus and his men are huddled.
As the Trojans cheer, believing the horse to be a peace offering, we see Odysseus' men preparing for their secret mission. The tension builds as the horse is brought ashore, and the Trojans test its integrity by plunging swords into its wooden frame.
Time seems to stand still as the horse sits proudly at the entrance of Troy's walled city. Damon's Odysseus, nervous yet determined, takes action. In a swift move, he descends from the horse and silently takes out a sentry, setting off a chain of events.
The assault is fierce, with faceless guards swarming the Greeks. Odysseus and his men fight valiantly, but their true hope lies in a clever ploy: opening the gates of Troy. And open they do, revealing a flood of fully armed Greek soldiers, ready to wage war.

But here's the twist: Nolan's choice to attach this footage to two Imax rereleases from Warner Bros. is a clever move. Having moved to Universal for his previous films, Nolan's new project is now being used to promote WB's future offerings.
